Woman Arrested for Hate Crime, Police say Ripped Down KIDNAPPED Posters and Assaulted Jewish Victim

November 27 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – 26-year-old Omar Mehwish was charged with hate crime and assault in NYC.

Police say Mehwish and Gonzalez were seen ripping down KIDNAPPED posters on W 82nd Street, when confronted by a woman filming them, the duo allegedly assaulted the victim. The two suspects were also forcibly ripping off her Star of David necklace that was around her neck, police said. The females also knocked the victim’s cell phone out of her hand and onto the ground, police added.
