Protests continue in NYC to demand Permanent Ceasefire in Gaza
November 28 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – Jewish and Muslim New Yorkers and religious leaders gathered to mourn the dead and call for permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
Group held a vigil around 9am and brought an offering to an altar outside of Rep Goldman office in NYC.
Later in the evening a vigil was held for Mai Ubeid, a Palestinian tech intern at Google, who was killed with her family in an Israeli airstrike in early November.
Google and Amazon employees gathered for a vigil outside Google offices to call for the tech giants to cease military contracts.
On November 26, hundreds of protesters with Jewish Voice For Peace and their supporters took over and blocked Manhattan Bridge, bringing traffic to a halt.
Protesters demanded permanent ceasefire, they occupied roadway of Manhattan Bridge, bringing its traffic to a halt for at least 3 hours Sunday, busy weekend of Black Friday shopping.
On November 25th, Pro-Palestine protesters burn Israel Flag and shout at NYPD in front of AMNH museum in UWS Manhattan – “NYPD KKK! IDF THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!”
“We have the right to visit the cultural institutions of our city… but because they demonise and vilify people who support Palestine, they put us behind barricades, as if we were animals” – Nerdeen Kiswani spoke during the protest outside of American Natural History Museum.
