Two Store Workers Shot After Dispute With Customer at Queens Discount Store
November 15 2025 QUEENS, New York – Two employees were shot at a discount store in Jamaica, Queens, after an argument with a customer escalated into gunfire, according to police.
The shooting happened Saturday evening at Great Savings on Jamaica Avenue. Police said the confrontation began inside the store when a male customer got into a dispute with staff. He left, returned moments later, and opened fire.
A 34-year-old worker was shot in the chest and taken to the hospital in critical condition, officials said. A 55-year-old worker was shot in the leg; he was reported to be in stable condition.
Both victims are employees of the store.
Police said the shooter fled the scene. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a green sweater. No arrests have been made.
