Two Teens Shot Near Stonewall Inn as Pride Celebrations Continue in NYC
June 29, 2025 – MANHATTAN, New York:
Two teens were injured in a shooting late Sunday night near the iconic Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, just as Pride celebrations were wrapping up for the evening.
16-year-old girl was shot in the head and 17-year-old girl was shot to the leg on West 4th Street between Grove Street and Barrow Street at 3 Sheridan Square, according to police.
The area around the Stonewall Inn was taped off as police launched an investigation. NYPD officers and emergency responders were seen on scene.
The motive and circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
The victim with a gunshot wound to the head was transported to Bellevue Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Earlier in the evening, a Bear spray unleashed at Washington Square Park during NYC Pride Celebrations, crowds rushed running with multiple injured.
Multiple arrests made as police cleared the area. Attendees were treated for injuries, coughing and struggling to breathe.
