8-Year-Old Boy Tragically Killed when Struck by Vehicle Driver in Brooklyn

June 28 2025 BROOKLYN, New York – An 8-year-old boy was fatally struck by a vehicle in Brooklyn on Friday evening, authorities said.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:33 p.m. at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Albany Avenue in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. According to police, the child was hit by a Honda Pilot driven by a 69-year-old man.

Emergency responders transported the boy to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver remained at the scene, and no arrests have been made at this time, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
