Thanksgiving Dinner on NYC Subway Train Features Six Tables Across Two L Train Cars

November 26 2025 NEW YORK, NY – A group transformed two L train cars into a moving Thanksgiving dining space on Thursday, setting up a full holiday spread and inviting riders to take part.

Organizers Jodell “Joe Show” Lewis, Dupree Christopher and Daniel Jean said this was their fourth year running the event, which they spend months preparing. Six tables of food were arranged across the two connected cars, creating a continuous setup passengers walked through as the train moved.

Musicians and content creators joined the organizers to help serve food and take part in the celebration.

The group rode the line twice, traveling back and forth between Canarsie and 14th Street, offering meals to riders who boarded along the way and allowing people to take their plates with them when they stepped off.
