Protestor Confronts Curtis Sliwa over “Tent City” Migrant Rally demanding closing of Floyd Bennett Field NYC

January 11, 2024 BROOKLYN, New York – Anti Tent City rally held by Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels and former NYC mayoral candidate, with protesters demanding the “unsafe facilities be shut down”. Curtis went into the traffic to distribute fliers to the drivers on Flatbush Ave. and Ave. U, just outside of Kings Plaza.

“Take care of your own first” – I spoke to rally attendies outside Floyd Bennett Field, who were upset, drawing comparison between how migrants are treated and homeless.

“F You Eric Adams!” Protesters near Migrant Floyd Bennett Field facility flipped off NYPD Surveillance drone near by “Look how they are watching us!” they exclaimed. Rally led by Curtis Sliwa demanded that unsafe ‘Tent City’ migrant facility shuts down.

Protesters were calling call for the permanent closure of the Floyd Bennett Field Migrant Tents.

Migrants were seen boarding the bus just across the street.

On January 9th, around 2,000 migrants were EVACUATED from Floyd’s Bennett Field shelter “Tent City” and moved to a nearby school, as heavy rain storm was hitting NYC predicting flooding.

Migrants received last minute notice telling them to evacuate from Floyd Bennett Field tent city to James Madison Highschool, they returned the next day at 5am. back to Floyd Bennett Field.
