Man Shot Multiple Times on Brooklyn Subway Train Dies
January 14, 2024 BROOKLYN, New York – Police say, a man was shot inside a moving subway train and gravely wounded just before 8:30 p.m., Sunday evening in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

According to police, 45-year-old Richard Henderson was found aboard a No. 3 train in Brooklyn with multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to the back and shoulder.
Incident occurred as victim was reportedly intervening during an alleged verbal altercation between two other passengers over loud music in the train car, Mr Henderson was shot in a moving train approaching the Franklin Ave-Medgar Evers College Stop at Franklin Avenue and Eastern Parkway, police said.






The critically injured man was rushed to Kings County Hospital where officials say the 45-year-old did not survive his injuries and was Mr. Henderson was pronounced dead.






“You have individuals carrying guns because you know, of the bail laws and yeah so it’s open season. Anyone can come down here and shoot anyone.” said Charlton D’souza, President of Passengers United.

The organization aims to bring awareness to public saftey for all riding mass transit in and around New York City.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
