Man Killed in Suspected Drive-by Shooting in University Heights – BRONX

September 09, 2023 – BRONX, New York – A man was shot and killed during a suspected drive-by shooting on the evening of September 8th near W Burnside Ave & Sedgwick Ave in the University Heights section of the Bronx, cops said.

According to police officials, a 30-year-old male was found shot in the chest, and left with critical injuries. The victim was rushed by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers from the 46th Precinct responded to 1975 Sedgwick Ave. for the shooting just after 9pm.

The investigation is ongoing. No suspects description or arrests reported at this time.
