Dearborn Protesters Flood City Council After Day of Clashes at Anti Islam March

November 18 2025 DEARBORN, MICHIGAN – Clashes erupted in Dearborn during an anti-Muslim protest that pulled in supporters, counter-protesters, and two figures now openly at odds: Michigan gubernatorial candidate Anthony Hudson and Jake Lang, a January 6 pardoned detainee who is currently running for office in his hometown in Florida.

The backdrop traces back to a planning of “Patriots First” march for the same date, promoted by Hudson. After spending several days in Dearborn, Hudson shifted away from anti-Islam claims, saying, “there is no Sharia Law here.”

Lang promoted his own anti-Muslim protest and attempted to burn a Quran. He initially suggested he would join Hudson, but Hudson rejected the association, saying he had nothing to do with Lang and adding, “there will be no burning of Quran here.”

Before Hudson arrived, supporters and counter-protesters gathered on opposite sides of the street. A large bus wrapped with “Anthony Hudson” campaign graphics pulled up — but Lang exited instead.

Lang immediately denounced Hudson and spray-painted “CUCK” on the bus. He claimed the vehicle had been provided by Hudson’s PR team. Hudson later said the bus was not his.

Quran Burning Attempts Ignite Physical Confrontations

Lang made multiple attempts to burn a Quran, setting off several physical altercations. Counter-protesters wrestled the Quran away from him more than once. Lang then returned to the bus, grabbed another Quran and a package of bacon, and walked toward counter-protesters while slapping the items together. More scuffles followed.

Hudson eventually led his scheduled march, while Lang launched his own a short distance behind.

By 7 p.m., protesters, counter-protesters, Hudson, and Lang all entered the Dearborn City Council meeting to address city officials.

One Hudson supporter blamed media coverage, telling the council the “Lame Stream Media” misrepresented the march and saying, “I was deceived.”

Hudson also addressed the meeting, distancing himself from Lang’s group. “I had no affiliation with Anti-American Group,” he told the council, adding, “This group came here to interrupt my peaceful walk.”

Several speakers condemned the anti-Muslim protest and the confrontations, while others defended elements of the demonstration.
