Chicago Rolex Store Windows Boarded Up After Smash-and-Grab Robbery

September 5, 2025, CHICAGO IL – Broken windows at the Rolex Boutique on North Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile were boarded up Friday following a midday smash-and-grab robbery. Police said four males broke an exterior glass window around 2:37 p.m., stole merchandise valued at more than $250,000, and fled in a red Nissan SUV.

Six suspects were later taken into custody after leaving the vehicle near the 7000 block of South Peoria. Officers recovered some stolen property, along with items thrown from the car as it was abandoned.

The incident is part of a series of smash-and-grab robberies targeting luxury retailers along the Mag Mile in recent years.


This as the president threatens to deploy National Guard troops to Chicago.
