6 Teens  Wounded in NYC mass Shooting Outside Brooklyn Sweet 16 Party

December 14, 2025 Brooklyn, NY – Six teenagers were wounded in a mass shooting outside a Sweet 16 birthday celebration early Sunday morning in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn, according to police and venue officials. NYPD says officers responded to a 911 call shortly after 1:15 a.m. outside Burburja Events catering hall on Atlantic Avenue, where they found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Three 15-year-olds were injured, including a girl shot in the chest, hip, and leg, another girl wounded in the right leg, and a boy shot in the left arm. Additional victims include two 16-year-old boys, one shot in the right arm and another in the left foot, and a 17-year-old male wounded in the right thigh. All victims were transported to area hospitals; none of the injuries were reported to be life-threatening. Police say two gunmen fled the scene and remain at large. In a statement, Burburja Events management said the Sweet 16 celebration concluded around 1:00 a.m. and that the shooting occurred approximately 20 minutes later outside the venue after the party had broken up
