3 Men Injured in East Village Shooting Outside Jacob Riis Houses

August 31, 2025 | MANHATTAN, New York — Three men were injured in an early morning shooting outside a Manhattan housing complex, police said.

According to authorities, the shooting happened just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday in front of a building on East 6th Street near Avenue D, outside the Jacob Riis Houses, a NYCHA complex in the East Village.

First responders transported all three victims to Bellevue Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.
