Two Subway Stabbings Reported on the No. 6 Line in the Bronx Within 24 Hours
August 30 2025 BRONX, New York — Two separate stabbings occurred on the No. 6 subway line in the Bronx between Friday and early Saturday, leaving two men hospitalized in stable condition, according to police.
The first incident took place Friday at the Zerega Avenue station. Police said a 21-year-old man was slashed in the face while on a 6 train. Officers from Transit District 12 responded, and the victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Police set up a mobilization point at the Castle Hill Avenue station following the attack.
Hours later, around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, a second stabbing was reported as a northbound 6 train was approaching the St. Lawrence Avenue station. Police said a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the hip after a dispute with another individual. The victim was transported to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene.
