Two Students Stabbed at High School in Queens – NYC
February 01, 2024 QUEENS, New York – Two teen students were injured during a reported stabbing Thursday afternoon at a high school on Hillside Avenue in Queens Village, Queens, police said.
One student was reportedly stabbed in the stomach, and another was stabbed in the shoulder. According to police radio, both students were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. A third student was taken into police custody with charges pending for possible involvement in the stabbing that is believed to have occurred in a school stairwell, police said.
Police responded to a stabbing incident involving teens at Martin Van Buren High School around 1:41pm, near Hillside Avenue & Avenue C in Queens, NY.
Incident was originally reported as a stabbing at nearby Creedmore migrant shelter then was corrected, with new information being that the stabbing occurred at the high school.






According to student with spoke with parent, two students were stabbed during an alleged altercation that involved a 17 year-old student who was seriously injured during the school incident and transported to an area Hospital for further treatment. The other injured student was also hospitalized.

We spoke with Lisa Johnson, a concerned parent who was waiting for her kid to be released from the school. “I got a phone call from my daughter, she was scared. Telling me that, she can’t come out because she’s on lockdown, two kids were in an incident, somebody got stabbed. I wanna know why Martin Van Buren (High School) did not pick up a phone and send out a mass text to us family members letting us know that our kids are ok.”
It’s also being reported that a gun was located at the school. It’s unconfirmed at this time of the gun was brandished during the incident or found during campus grounds search. The High School is on lockdown as 105 PCT police investigate the incident.
