Suspect Arrests after 14-year-old girl sexually assaulted in Manhattan: NYPD
February 3, 2026, NEW YORK, NY — Police say a 33-year-old man was taken into custody following the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Manhattan.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred around 11:32 a.m. inside a building near 1st Avenue and First Avenue Loop. Authorities say the suspect sexually assaulted the girl, took her phone, and fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Police identified the suspect as Germaine Parham, who was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from the Capital Region Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Officials say the suspect and the victim did not know each other.
Parham faces multiple charges, including:
Five counts of rape
Robbery
Attempted assault
Predatory sexual assault
Kidnapping
Six counts of sexual abuse
Criminal possession of a weapon
The investigation remains ongoing.
