“NO KINGS” Protests bring Massive Crowds and Clashes with Counter Protest and Authorities
March 28 2026 – Tens of thousands flooded Manhattan streets Saturday as part of the nationwide “No Kings” protests, with crowds marching through Midtown in one of the largest demonstrations in the city this year.
Actor Robert De Niro appeared at the rally, joining protesters denouncing President Donald Trump’s policies, including immigration enforcement and the ongoing Iran conflict.
Demonstrators carried anti-ICE and anti-war signs, chanting through packed avenues as part of more than 3,000 coordinated protests nationwide.
Demonstrators gathered Saturday in Palm Springs as part of the nationwide “No Kings” protests, with crowds lining roadways and public spaces throughout the city.
Video from the scene shows groups holding signs and chanting, while counter-protesters appeared nearby, leading to several tense verbal and physical confrontations.
Clashes broke out Saturday outside a federal immigration facility in Portland during the nationwide “No Kings” protests, as demonstrators confronted federal officers near an ICE detention site. Some individuals appeared to damage fencing and force open sections of the outer gates.
Portions of the barrier appeared bent and partially breached as groups pushed forward.
Law enforcement reported that objects—including bottles and debris—were thrown toward officers during the confrontation. Federal agents responded with crowd-control measures
