Night of Bloodshed: 2 Dead, 5 Hurt in NYC Shootings Hours Apart

A string of shootings across New York City between Saturday night and early Sunday morning left two people dead and five others injured, according to police. The incidents occurred in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Manhattan in four separate cases.
The first shooting happened in Brooklyn, where a 45-year-old man was shot in the back near 57th Street and Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Just after midnight Sunday in the Bronx, three people were shot at 1932 Crotona Parkway in the West Farms section. A 22-year-old woman was shot in the left arm, a 32-year-old woman was shot in the back and remains in critical condition, and a 37-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his left arm. Police said the 37-year-old later walked himself to the hospital.
In another Brooklyn incident around 1:26 a.m. Sunday, two people were shot outside 603 Bushwick Avenue. Police said a 35-year-old woman was shot in the chest and arm, and a man in his 20s was shot twice in the arm. According to sources, the shooter appeared to be waiting on the other side of a door and opened fire when the victims exited.
The final shooting took place just before 2:30 a.m. on Pine Street in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Police said a 23-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and later died from his injuries.
Authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the shootings and are still investigating the circumstances surrounding each case.
