Mayor Adams’ Top Aide Ingrid Lewis-Martin Indicted Again on Bribery and Corruption Charges

August 21 2025 MANHATTAN, New York – Ingrid Lewis-Martin, a senior aide to Mayor Eric Adams, was indicted Thursday on new corruption charges and appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court in handcuffs.

Prosecutors allege that Lewis-Martin accepted more than $75,000 in bribes, including $10,000 in seafood, in exchange for political favors. Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Guy Tardanico told the court, “If you were willing to pay Ms. Lewis-Martin, she was open for business.”

The indictments accuse Lewis-Martin and others of exploiting the city’s migrant crisis, which has cost New York more than $7 billion to address, according to filings. She faces multiple counts described by her attorney as “the lowest level of felony in our justice system.”

Also charged are her son, Glen Martin II, described in court documents as a DJ; former state senator Jesse Hamilton; Gina and Tony Argento, who run a film and television soundstage business; and real estate developers Tian Ji Li and Yechiel Landau. All defendants pleaded not guilty.

Lewis-Martin was previously charged in December along with her son in a separate case involving allegations of pressuring city officials on behalf of developers.
