Man Stabbed in Neck During Violent Scuffle Outside Migrant “Tent City” Shelter on Randall’s Island – NYC
January 18, 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – According to police, a 24-year-old man was stabbed during a dispute involving a group of people outside of Randall’s Island “Tent City” migrant shelter in NYC.
The 24-year-old victim suffered a stab wound to the neck from a sharp object during a violent scuffle outside the migrant shelter at around 3:30 p.m., Thursday afternoon where multiple suspects where taken into police custody following the stabbing.
EMS rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital, in stable condition. The motive for the violent altercation is not known and comes just one week after a 24-year-old migrant male was killed during another stabbing incident at the shelter.





NYPD evidence team was on scene and taking photos of the area directly behind a security booth, where a shelter guard is stationed and directing pedestrian traffic coming off the 102nd St foot bridge from Manhattan into Randalls Island.





People were told to enter at the main front entrance where a massive line of migrants were trying to enter the camp amid police investigation.
