Man shot in head WITH HIS OWN GUN on Brooklyn subway platform during rush hour
March 14 2024 BROOKLYN, – A man was shot on a subway platform in Brooklyn during an altercation as they rode the packed train during the afternoon rush hour.
Shooting happened on Northbound G train platform at the Hoyt Station in Downtown Brooklyn.
According to Eyewitness news, a 32-year-old man was approached by a 36-year-old man while on the train, who witnesses described as aggressive.
“This is probably the most traumatic experience in my entire life” – Joyce Philippe, a NYC multimedia Reporter with ABC7 News, witnessed the shooting where a man was shot in his head on a Brooklyn SUBWAY station during today’s rush hour traffic.
Argument turned into an altercation where the 36-year-old pulled out a sharp object and the other man pulled out his gun, police said.
Police say the 32-year-old was shot in the face with his own gun as fight began.
Person of interest was taken into custody shortly after and a gun was recovered at the scene, police said.
