Family Found Stabbed to Death, Including Two Children in Bensonhurst Apartment – BROOKLYN

July 19, 2024 BROOKLYN, New York – Two adult women and two young children were killed after being stabbed multiple times in their shared Brooklyn apartment, police said.

Fayzidva Mavlyuda, 56, was located by police with multiple knife wounds to the neck, authorities said

Upon further investigation, officers found three additional victims including 27-year-old Maftuna Khakimova, who was also located with multiple stab wounds.

Two young children were also discovered stabbed to death inside the apartment, 5-year-old Kamila Shavkatova, and 4-year-old Timur Shavkatov.

According to officials, at around 10:15 p.m., four people believed to all be related were found by officers responding to 911 call of an assault in progress at 1590 West 8th St., near Avenue P inside a Bensonhurst apartment building.

Police say a 24-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene on suspicion of involvement in the stabbing spree, with charges pending a full investigation.
