Faith Leaders Rally in NYC After ICE Detains Episcopal Priest’s Daughter
August 2, 2025 – MANHATTAN, New York –
Faith leaders, immigrant advocates, and community members gathered outside 26 Federal Plaza on Saturday morning to demand the release of 20-year-old Yeonsoo Go.
Go, a Korean immigrant and the daughter of Episcopal priest Rev. Kyrie Kim, was detained by ICE following a routine immigration hearing. The incident has sparked outcry from local clergy and immigrant rights groups, who held a public vigil and prayer gathering in response.
Attendees called for compassion and due process, some visibly emotional as they offered prayers and stood in solidarity with Yeonsoo and her family.
