Deadly Double Shooting in Bushwick Leaves One Dead

June 2, 2025 Brooklyn, New York – A 39-year-old man is dead and another man is recovering after a double shooting late Monday night in Bushwick.

Police say the gunfire erupted just after 10 p.m. outside 1233 Putnam Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the younger victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and a 63-year-old man shot in the right eye.

Both were rushed to Brookdale University Hospital. The 39-year-old did not survive. The older victim is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
