Convicted Rapist on Parole, Arrested for Savage Beating of a Single Mother Going Home After Work – NYC

May 23, 2025 MANHATTAN, New York – Convicted rapist Miguel Jiraud, 30, out on parole was arrested and charged with attempted murder on Friday for the alleged severe beating of a 44-year-old single mother of two.

Diana Agudelo was alone and riding her bike home from work when she was attacked on the bikepath on Randall’s island at 600 E. 125th Street, around 11:30 p.m. Friday, police say.

She was robbed of her belongings and the victim of a heinous attack leaving her bleeding profusely and fighting for her life.

Ms. Agudelo, who suffered facial fractures and a cracked skull was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition.

“I found her, the evidence is gonna speak for itself. You wanna see my hands? My hands are perfect. I found her.” said Jiraud as he was being escorted by NYPD detectives to a waiting jail transfer vehicle from the 25 precinct in Harlem.
