Brooklyn Mass Shooting Leaves 3 Dead, 8 Injured

August 17 2025, BROOKLYN, New York – Three people were killed and eight others wounded when multiple gunmen opened fire inside a Brooklyn hookah lounge and restaurant early Sunday morning, police said.

The shooting happened just before 3:30 a.m. at Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights, according to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.

The three victims who died were all men, ages 27, 35, and one whose age has not yet been confirmed. Police said all three were pronounced dead at the scene.

Eight others — five men and three women — were injured and taken to local hospitals. Police described their injuries as non-life-threatening.

No arrests have been made, and investigators said the suspects have not yet been identified
