World’s Largest Menorah Lit by Jewish leaders on 5th Night of Chanukah

December 11 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – The World’s Largest Menorah–a New York City icon, was lit up on 5th Night of Hannukah just outside of Central Park on E59th street.

NYC Mayor Adams was scheduled to attend today, however he canceled his attendance in order to be at the Bronx building collapse that occured earlier in the day.

“End the occupation!” – Pro-Palestine protester shouted at Jewish New Yorkers attending NYC Largest Menorah Lighting ceremony held outside of Central Park in Manhattan.

The annual New York City tradition is part of the worldwide Hanukkah Awareness campaign, an initiative launched 50 years ago in 1973 by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson
