Two Killed in New Jersey Townhouse Fire

May 14, 2024 WEST ORANGE, New Jersey – Two people were killed during a basement fire that ravaged a townhouse in West Orange, New Jersey early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

According to officials, a man and woman were seriously injured during the blaze and transported to a burn unit at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in nearby Livingston where the pair were pronounced deceased.

The cause of the deadly fire has not been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
