Three Injured as Person Electrocuted Near US Open SITE – QUEENS

T August 1 2022 QUEENS, New York – Police say three people suffered severe burns, one possibly electrocuted after a transformer explosion near the US Open site in Queens. Witness on the scene described the entire roof of transformer being on fire.

Incident occurred near Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing at around 1:40 p.m. On Monday afternoon.

The victims were working outside the Stadium when the explosion occured,cops said.

The victims were taken to local hospitals.
