Search And Rescue FDNY Drone Demonstration at Fort Totten EMS Academy – QUEENS

May 5 2023 QUEENS, New York – Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh, EMS Chief of Operations and FDNY Drone team held a demonstration at the EMS Academy at Fort Totten.
One drone had an attached speaker announcing “This is fire department, help is on the way”.

The demonstration is part of the pre-conference activities of the FDNY Search & Rescue Field Medicine Symposium (SRFM) and showcased how drones can be used by EMTs and FDNY to make announcement, assess patients and deliver critical equipment to responders during an emergency.
