Police Fatally Shoot Man with Knife inside Brooklyn’s NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital 

January 07, 2026 BROOKLYN, New York – Early Thursday evening officers shot a man after responding to 911 calls of an individual with a knife inside Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, cops said. 

According to a police source, the emotionally disturbed individual armed with a knife reportedly barricaded himself inside a sixth-floor room with an elderly patient inside and started to harm himself by cutting. 

Officers used a taser before discharging their service weapons and fatally wounded the suspect on the upper levels of the Park Slope hospital at Sixth St. and Seventh Ave no in Brooklyn.
