Polar Bear OCEAN Plunge in Coney Island – 2023

January 1 2023 BROOKLYN, New York – New Yorkers once again return to the cold ocean for the Coney Island Polar Bear Plunge on New Year’s Day.

Every New Years Day, for 120 years, some people wearing costumes, dive into the freezing Atlantic ocean to “wash away the year before”.
