Person Killed after being Struck by a Truck in Midtown Manhattan

October 6 2022 MANHATTAN, New York – Person was seriously injured and has died after being struck by a box truck in the middle of Midtown on Thursday afternoon morning.

Police received a report of a person struck by a truck on 8th Avenue and 44th street just around 11:30am.

Police found victim under a truck, in the cross walk, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are not known at this time.

Investigation is ongoing.
