One In Custody, Another At Large After Man In Queens Is Found Shot In The Chest

January 06th 2022 – Queens, NY: Detectives in Queens have one shooting suspect in custody following a foot pursuit and are searching for an additional suspect that also fled on foot from the location where a man sustained a critical gunshot wound to the chest.

According to police, on Thursday just after 10:00 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call for a man shot at Jamaica Avenue and 147th Pl. First responding officers found an injured male laying on the sidewalk with a severe gunshot wound to his chest.

EMS rushed the male shot in the chest to a nearby local hospital where he is listed in critical condition, said police.

Police said a firearm was recovered and the investigation into the shooting incident is ongoing.
