NYPD Investigating after Elderly Woman Attacked in East Harlem Subway Station – NYC

October 22, 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – Overnight a 75-year-old woman was hospitalized after being randomly attacked in East Harlem’s 125th Street Subway station.

Just after midnight, the elderly woman was reportedly waiting to board the 4 train when a screaming man approached then shoved her, causing the victim to fall forward and slam her face into the platform. 

The victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition, a neck brace could be seen being placed around her neck while in the back of an ambulance.

No arrests at this time, suspect fled the station following the incident to parts unknown. It was believed that the suspect possibly ran north into the subway tunnel towards 138th St. in the Bronx but that was unfounded.
