MTA Conductor Hit in Head with Glass Bottle at Bronx Subway Station – NYC
March 06, 2024 BRONX, New York – A conductor was struck in the head with a glass bottle during an unprovoked attack on an NYC subway train, Wednesday morning, cops said.
According to police, a 38-year-old female MTA conductor was assaulted on a southbound 4 train at the Bronx’s 170th Street subway station. The injured conductor was transported to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.
No arrests following the aggravated assault, that was reported around noon on Wednesday. This incident marks the second unprovoked attack on an MTA worker in the last two weeks.
The subway assault on MTA worker comes on the same day that NYS Gov. Kathy Hochul is said to start deployment of National Guard troops around the NYC subway system amid ongoing violence in transit.








According to police radio, officers are searching for a black male wearing in orange clothing and an overcoat who fled the station on foot. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
