According to witnesses and footage from the scene, a group of individuals smashed through the storefront glass of the MedMen location and ran inside, grabbing cannabis products and merchandise. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, during a series of coordinated break-ins across the downtown area.

LAPD responded quickly and arrested several suspects near the scene. Officers confirmed that the MedMen store was one of several businesses targeted, including an Adidas store, a CVS pharmacy, and a jewelry shop.

Video from the scene shows masked individuals ransacking the interior of the store and fleeing as officers arrived. Police say the looting was not directly tied to any protest but was instead part of a broader pattern of opportunistic crime amid ongoing citywide unrest.

Authorities condemned the looting, stating that criminal behavior would not be tolerated and that further arrests may follow as investigations continue. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The looted MedMen store, part of a prominent cannabis retail chain, remained closed Tuesday as crews worked to assess the damage and secure the premises.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions across Los Angeles, where curfews and increased police presence have been enacted to control further disruption.
