Manhattan Smoke Shop Worker SHOT as Five Men Attempt to Rob the Store

January 18 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – Police are searching for five men after they allegedly robbed a Midtown smoke shop as one of the workers got shot.

Incident happened in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, on 9th Avenue between 48th and 49th streets, just after midnight.

Officials confirmed that at least five men tried to rob “Smoke City” shop Wednesday early morning.

Police say that the worker inside the shop tried to kick out the group, as the dispute spilled out onto the street,when one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the worker in the leg.

The 32-year-old employee victim was seen getting loaded up into the ambulance, he was transported to Bellevue Hospital.
