Man Wounded During Brazen Machete Attack in Times Square – NYC

May 30, 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – Multiple people were taken into police custody after a man was stabbed with a machete on Thursday afternoon in Times Square, Manhattan, police said.

The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with stab wounds to both legs following the broad daylight machete attack outside a Times Square McDonald’s.

It’s being reported that the wounded man was allegedly stabbed with a machete during a dispute that turned violent about cd sales and possible turf war among illegal vendors in the area.

The stabbing incident was reported around 1 p.m., near McDonald’s at the busy Times Square intersection of W45th street & Broadway, right behind a row of food cart vendors.

Three people were taken into custody nearby with charges pending. Unclear as to exactly what led to the violence but the investigation is ongoing.
