Man Shot in the Neck, Killed near Fort Green Park in Brooklyn

October 7 2023 BROOKLYN, New York – A 34-year-old man was shot in neck and killed just a block away from Fort Green Park in Brooklyn.

Shooting happened shortly after 2a.m. on Saturday morning on the Lafayette Avenue, where police found a 34-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his neck, officials confirmed.

EMS rushed the victim to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police says. There are no arrests at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
