Man Shot and Killed a Block Away from Bronx Hospital

February 26 2023 BRONX, New York – A 25-year-old man was shot in the head and killed in the Bronx this Sunday afternoon, police said.

Police found victim unconscious and unresponsive near E 183rd Street and Bathgate Avenue, with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.

Incident happened around 1:45pm in East Tremont neighborhood in the Bronx.

Victim was rushed to Saint Barnabas hospital, where he died from his injuries.

There are no arrests at this time and incident is under investigation.
