Man found beheaded in bathtub of Staten Island home; A 19-year-old stepson has been taken into custody.

October 7 2025 STATEN ISLAND, New York – A 45-year-old man was found dead with multiple stab wounds to the head and neck inside a Staten Island home on Monday afternoon, according to police sources.

Authorities say officers responded to a 911 call just before 4:30 p.m. for a reported stabbing at 380 Cary Avenue in the West Brighton section. When they arrived, they discovered the victim in a bathtub with a knife still in his body.

Investigators say the victim’s 19-year-old stepson was taken into custody at the scene. The stepson’s sister reportedly discovered the body after walking into the home and finding blood in several rooms.

Police sources say it remains unclear what led to the violent attack. The suspect has no prior arrests and, as of now, has not been charged.

The investigation is ongoing.
