Man fatally struck on a crosswalk by Rolls-Royce driver

Police are investigating after a 58-year-old man was struck
killed by a driver in a Rolls-Royce who fled the scene.

Incident happened in Brooklyn near McCarren Park early Tuesday morning.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on the intersection of Bayard Street and McGuinness Boulevard.

Officers on the scene found the victim victim in the road with severe trauma to the body. EMS transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say that investigators learned the victim was attempting to cross McGuinness Boulevard by using a crosswalk, against the traffic signal, when he was struck by black Rolls-Royce going southbound on McGuinness.

The driver left the scene, according to cops. The investigation is ongoing.
