Man Fatally Shot After Dispute in Queens Sports Bar

February 07, 2022 – Queens, NY: Monday just before midnight, a man was shot and critically wounded outside of a sports bar in Queens following a dispute that started inside of the establishment, police said.

According to officials, Upon arrival police from the 113th precinct observed a 33-year-old male with one severe gunshot wound to the chest outside of the Cozy Corner Sports Bar and Lounge on Linden Blvd in Queens.

The 33-year-old was rushed to Long Island Jewish Franklin General Hospital with life threatening injuries, and was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

Police said that at least 4 shell casings were recovered at the scene however there are no arrests at this time. According to police, two individuals are said to be persons of interest. The investigation into this shooting incident is ongoing.
