Elderly Woman Killed by Stray Bullet, Another Injured near Subway Station in Bronx Double Shooting
September 14, 2023 BRONX, New York – NYPD investigation for two females shot, including a 71-year-old woman struck in the back by a stray bullet who was rushed to Lincoln Hospital with critical injuries but was later pronounced dead, officials said.
According to police, the second woman injured was a 34-year-old shot in the left arm and listed in stable condition. Neither of the two women appear to be intended targets and were struck attempting to run away as gun fire erupted on a Bronx sidewalk in broad daylight.









No arrests reported at this time. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, with dreadlocks and dressed in all black who fled the scene on foot.
Shooting occurred just before 1:00pm, near the Brook Ave Subway Station at E 138th St & Brook Ave in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.
