Border Patrol Agent Shot While Off-duty during Robbery Attempt at Manhattan Park

July 20 2025 MANHATTAN, New York – A Border Patrol agent, was shot in the face by allegedly illegal immigrant, during botched robbery at Fort Washington Park near the George Washington Bridge in Manhattan around midnight this morning.

Suspect fled northbound on a moped. Agent rushed to Harlem Hospital and is expected to survive, the bullet struck his left cheek.

A man was shot in the face during a robbery attempt in Fort Washington Park, Manhattan, late Friday night.

Police say two armed suspects on a moped approached the victim and a woman around 11:50 p.m. After a brief struggle, one suspect opened fire.

The victim returned fire with his own gun before the suspects fled.

One suspect in a red shirt blue jeans another male white shirt blue jeans with a handkerchief over his mouth,  fled northbound on a moped. One described as armed with gun.
