9-year-old Shot Twice in New Jersey

June 30 2021 Newark, NJ – around 5:30pm police reported a possible child shot, a 9 year old female, shot twice in the leg and foot.

Suspected reportedly fled into one of the townhouses in the area. Crime scene is inside the home, according to local authorities.
Detectives had 1 male suspect detained as of 5:50pm. K-9 is on the scene for weapon search.

Video shows a small green childrens bike alone in the complex. Unknown if bicycle has any relation to incident.
