9-year-old Boy Killed, 9 Others Hurt in Ozone Park Fire

September 1 2021 Queens, New York –

One person has died nine others are injured following a heavy fire at 81-190 102nd road in Ozone Park, Queens. Early his morning around 2am a fire broke out in the home’s basement.

A child victim was in the basement level of the home, the 9-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is not considered suspicious.

Firefighters described the basement level as a garage.
