Woman in her 70s Shot While Standing on a Street in Brooklyn

October 24 2022 BROOKLYN, New York – An elderly woman in her 70s was shot in the leg while standing on a Brooklyn street in Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood, Monday afternoon.

Police say woman was shot outside of a supermarket near Brooklyn Avenue and Fulton Street, just around 2 p.m. and was not an intended target.

Woman was taken to the hospital, her condition is unknown.

Suspect, who was on a moped, shot a woman and fled the scene, officials said.

Police continue to investigate as this story is developing.
