60-year-old in Critical Condition after Heavy Fire at Staten Island Bike Shop Spread to Apartments

October 21 2022 STATEN ISLAND, New York – A 60-year-old man is currently in critical condition after a heavy fire broke out at a mixed Bike Shop and apartment building on Hylan Boulevard in Grant City, officials said.

Fire started at around 3:51 a.m. on the first floor of the building at 2242 Hylan Blvd., FDNY said.

Around 60 firefighters were on the scene to battle the blaze. Fire spread to attached business and apartments.
